Eagle Eye Networks extends its cloubased video surveillance platform. Security cameras are to be transformed into smart business tools.

Participants in the Application Programming Interface (API) program will receive a video account and discounted devices to connect compatible security cameras to the cloud specialist’s video surveillance platform. They also have access to sample code, training, telephone support, and system design support. On the one hand, integrators and customers of the company should be enabled to grow and differentiate themselves by integrating video into a multitude of applications.

Extensive integration options

The Eagle Eye Video API provides a set of tools to quickly build or integrate applications with live and recorded video from surveillance cameras, the company said. Both simple and complex applications are possible. Eagle Eye Networks take over the capture, storage and indexing of videos and events.

Developers can search, modify, tag, play, share, and stream the video in their applications with a single code. In addition, there are new applications for visualization and analysis, such as point-of-sale, customer service, video warnings, employee training and more.

Infrastructure is relieved

The Eagle Eye Video API eliminates the high infrastructure burden of traditional video system integration, according to the company. Servers, storage and software no longer need to be purchased and installed to build and maintain the infrastructure. The platform uses the so-called “Eagle Eye Big Data Video Framework” with time-based data structures for indexing, searching, retrieving and analyzing videos.

There are no additional costs for using the Eagle Eye Cloud VMS API, the manufacturer emphasizes. Some examples of using APIs include: analytics integration, user database integration, simplified UI development, specialized mobile application development, and more.
