Macy’s and Bloomingdales join a long list of retailers hit with cyber breaches this year, including Adidas, Under Armour, Forever21, Saks Fifth Avenue and Lord & Taylor.
In a notice sent to affected customers, Macy’s said it first detected suspicious login activity from certain Macys.com accounts on June 11, 2018:
Here are the details of the information captured by the hackers in this breach:
- Full Name
- Address
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Date of Birth
- Debit / Credit Card Numbers
- Expiration Dates
No CVV or Social Security numbers were impacted, but the hacker operated undetected for almost two months.
