Eagle Eye Networks is committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the confidentiality of the information collected. We urge you to read this Privacy Policy to ensure that you understand what information we collect and why we collect it.
This Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices in relation to our general business practices and the use of our website(s). We collect information from you to the extent necessary to properly manage our business relationship and to provide services to you. By visiting our sites and/or providing us with your personal information, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal information.
This Privacy Policy applies to information and data collected by Eagle Eye Networks when you use our services and interact with our system, applications, and website(s); this includes the following:
- Personal information that a Customer, a Customer’s Administrator, or Partner/Reseller inputs, uploads, or is otherwise captured in our system and applications and/or on our websites.
- Activity and event data that is automatically collected by those using our system, services, and applications.
- Personal and business information captured about current and prospective Customers and their users, service providers, business partners, job applicants, and/or other third parties to establish or maintain their business relationship with Eagle Eye Networks.
If you do not consent to the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy, you should not access, browse, or use our websites, system, or applications.
Collection and Use of Data
We collect personal information necessary to enable us to respond to your requests related to our business. Personal information means any information that can reasonably identify you.
Specifically, we collect information when you voluntarily provide it when you access our websites; request, purchase, and use our services; and communicate with us (including subscribing to marketing materials, applying for a job, attending our events, etc.). This may include your name, company name, job title, telephone number(s), fax number(s), postal address(es), email address(es), other address(es) at which you receive communications, and, if applicable, billing information.
We also collect other information about you and your device via the use of widely used information-gathering technologies, such as cookies and web beacons, and third-party analytics tools. This includes standard information from your web browser (such as browser type and browser language), your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, and the actions you take on our sites (such as the pages viewed and the links clicked, and content accessed). We may collect information about your device, including the type (desktop, tablet, or phone), operating system type, language, and other metadata as well as transactional information (such as how you interact with us whether through email, customer portal, or phone).
This may also include your use of certain service features, the functionality of the services, when you click on ads, or your participation in research initiatives like surveys about our services. While We do not monitor or view the specific data stored by its customers who are using the services, it is necessary for us to track various parameters of transferred data (file size, etc.) to support features including, but not limited to, bandwidth monitoring and storage usage. We treat such information as non-personal Information and in accordance with its agreements it has in place with its customers.
We may also receive information about you from other sources, i.e., resellers, business partners, etc.
We will use the information we obtain in connection with our SMS/text messaging program in accordance with our SMS Terms & Conditions. We collect the following personal information about you in the context of our text messaging program: Your name, mobile phone number, and texting preferences (opt-ins and opt-outs). We use this information to manage our text messaging program, including sending you text messages. Your wireless carrier may collect data about your wireless device usage, and its practices are governed by its own policies. We take measures to protect your sensitive personal information but cannot guarantee its security in transit or storage.
Unless otherwise stated in our terms of service or other agreements between us and you or your company, we use your information only for providing you the services that you have requested from us.
You can choose not to provide certain information when using our sites and services, but this may prevent you from being able to take full advantage of the functions available online, and it may prevent us from being able to provide you with services.
Managing Your Data
We provide you with various ways to make choices about your information, such as accessing, correcting, or deleting data as well as updating your choices about how your information is used.
If you wish to opt out and stop receiving email marketing communications from us, please click on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the relevant email marketing communication or by following the instructions detailed in the communication. If you wish to opt out completely, please contact us by emailing [email protected].
Please note that you cannot opt out or unsubscribe from service-related messages.
In accordance with industry standards and applicable laws, we reserve the right to retain your personal information for a reasonable amount of time so we can ensure that we do not contact you in the future.
If you would like to know what information we hold about you, access your data, make a correction to it, or request deletion of the data collected by us, please submit a request to us by emailing [email protected]. We will inform you whether we have honored your request within the reasonable timeframes stipulated by law, but at least within 30 days. Please note that some requests may be subject to a reasonable fee. If you are an existing customer, please log in to the applicable Eagle Eye Networks control panel to submit a support ticket. Clients of our customers must contact the customer directly with any data subject access requests. If Eagle Eye Networks receives a data subject access request from its customers’ clients, we will notify the customer as soon as reasonably practicable.
To protect your privacy, before granting access to, or agreeing to update, correct, or delete your personal information, we will require you to confirm your identity to verify that you are authorized to make the request.
Collection and Use of Customer Data
We collect and process customer data on behalf of customers in accordance with our contractual agreements with them, as defined in the terms of use, and as required or permitted by law. We provide services under the direction of our customers and have no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data our customers process.
Where our customers use the service to host, transmit, or process data on our hosted systems, which may include personal information, it is our customers rather than us who decide the reasons for which the data is collected and otherwise processed. Customers are responsible for ensuring that data is obtained and processed in accordance with all applicable laws. For details regarding how the customer data will be used and protected as well as how to access or correct data and amend or delete inaccuracies, please refer to the privacy policy of the relevant Eagle Eye Networks customer to which you submitted your personal information. If requested to remove your personal data, we will inform our customer within a reasonable timeframe.
We will not review, share, distribute, nor reference any such customer data except as provided in the agreement that we have in place with the customer or as may be required by law. If you are a client of one of our customers and would no longer like to be contacted by one of our customers that use our services, please contact the customer that you interact with directly.
Data Security
In line with industry best practices, appropriate physical, technical, and organizational measures are in place to prevent unauthorized use, access, or disclosure of your data. This includes, but is not limited to, encryption of data where appropriate, access control, and monitoring for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. To demonstrate our commitment to security, we engage an independent auditor to perform a SOC 2 Type 2 examination annually.
Data Disclosure
Except for the limited circumstances described in this Privacy Policy or your applicable agreement and/or terms of service, the information we gather is for internal use only; we will not authorize the release of this information to anyone outside of Eagle Eye Networks without your consent. When we need to provide your information to third parties, we will only share it to the extent reasonably necessary. We may also share your information as required or permitted by law.
We may disclose information that does not identify any individual or company (e.g., anonymous, aggregated data) without restriction. For example, we may provide our advertisers or other third parties with reports that contain aggregated and statistical data about our users.
Information about Children
Our sites and services are not designed for or targeted at individuals under the age of thirteen. We will not knowingly collect or maintain information from or about individuals under thirteen years of age. If you believe that we may have collected information from someone under the age of thirteen or from an individual otherwise defined as a minor, please let us know.
Data Protection and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
If you are an individual residing in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we collect and process information about you only where we have a legal basis for doing so under applicable European laws. The legal basis for collecting and using personal data depends on how you use our sites. We will only collect information from you when:
