- Eagle Eye LPR is a video analytic that extracts license plate information from the video.
- Eagle Eye VSP is a business intelligence platform that analyzes the license plate information received from different LPR analytics systems (including but not limited to Eagle Eye LPR). VSP analyzes the information, applies it to the configured rules and vehicle lists, and triggers alerts for the user.

Yes. Eagle Eye VSP requires an Eagle Eye Cloud VMS subscription. While Cloud VMS is a powerful solution in itself, with VSP it becomes a reliable source of vehicle data and a launching point for automating vehicle-related aspects of your business.
An existing camera may be suitable for use with Eagle Eye VSP if it meets the required specifications for LPR (License Plate Recognition). (Please refer to Eagle Eye Application Note AN033 Camera Installation Considerations for LPR/ANPR.) For LPR, the camera’s settings and alignment may require adjustment to meet the imaging requirements and ensure high-accuracy plate reads. If an overview camera is required for other surveillance needs, it must be considered separately.
